I was just reading this article and is worth sharing and writing a bit about this
Xero (a local tech company) director revealed a interview trick - he refuses to hire anyone who doesn't offer to take their coffee cup back to the kitchen after a job interview with him!
Seriously!? It seems there is some logic behind the test: is not about skills or experience but about fitting in the local culture - that basic test was designed to check if a candidate fits into the Kiwi company's culture of ownership (aka wash the dishes and do the laundry to impress the boss)
Elon Musk (Tesla/SpaceX/Boring etc) uses tricky questions. Google interviews are also tricky and in general they try to explore certain abilities but this ... really falls into the colorful and funny areas of the local culture
